The Mysterious Hero - Chp 3

CHAPTER 3 - A RESCUE AND A KISS

Catherine's eyes were starting to get teary. The boy came closer so her and came to her eye level and said "Don't be such a little cry baby" then he grabbed the money from her pocket.

"Hey! Wait! I really need that money! My mom is gonna blow a gasket if I don't have it!"

"Not our problem right guys?" All the boys laughed at her.

Catherine couldn't take this anymore she had to get away out of this. So she let out what seemed like the biggest most loudest scream she'd ever done. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!" The scream was so loud that it even surprised the six graders. The boy that had a hold of Catherine finally let go and pushed her down and him and the other boys started to run away. Then out of the blue, fireworks dropped in front of them all and blinded them. Catherine stood up and watched as the six boys rubbed their eyes to gain sight again.

"What the fuck? WHO DROPPED THAT?!" One of the boys yelled out but there was no answer.

"YEAH, SHOW YOUR SELF, DICK!" another yelled. Then a brick dropped and hit the boy who had held Catherine tightly before.

"Billy!" all the boys yelled and ran up to him. But before they could get to him Catherine saw a figure of what seemed to be a kid about her age dressed in a very dark purple superhero-like outfit swag from a rope kicking the other five kids down. Then he dropped down in front of Catherine with his back facing her.

"HOW DARE YOU TOUCH THIS GIRL THIS WAY! I'LL KICK YOUR ASSES, BUTTLICKERS!" He yelled at them in a loud but very deep voice. Then he turned to face Catherine "HIDE NOW!" and Catherine did what she was told and hid behind a trash box but peeked to see what was happening. The superhero used everything in his power to beat them. He grabbed a trash bag of a bunch of pop cans and hit them all in the head with it and knocked them out. Then when the superhero wasn't looking there was one kid that he missed and the kid tried to sneak behind him and grab him.

"HEY! LOOK BEHIND YOU!" Catherine yelled. Catherine got the superhero's attention and he looked behind him and grabbed a gun that he had. The six grader quickly put up his hands.

"Whoa, whoa, easy, kid" He said in alarm.

"GIVE HER BACK HER MONEY AND I WON'T SHOOT!" the hero yelled.

"Okay, okay!" he walked up to Catherine and threw the money at her. And Catherine picked it up. Then the kid run away. Suddenly Catherine looked around and realized she was alone. She looked in every direction trying to find the hero that had saved her. "HELLO? UH...SUPERHERO?!"

"What is it" a voice came behind her.

"AH AH!" It was the hero who had saved her. He was now hanging upside down from the rope he entered on. He had surprised her completely. She didn't need anymore surprise attacks tonight. "My god! Don't do that!"

"Sorry I just thought that would kinda funny" He said with a slight smirk on his face.

"So who are you supposed to be?" Catherine asked him.

"I am Mysterion."

"Cool. Thanks for rescuing me." She said with another one of her pretty smiles. Mysterion gazed at her smile for a few seconds but gained focus again to keep his cool and said.

"It's what I do you don't have to say thanks"

"I can't help but feel like a should do something for you. I could at least...I guess...say thank you in a different way." Catherine said in a seductive tone. So she slowly walked towards Mysterion and gently kissed him passionately on the lips.And Mysterion closed his eyes along with her. It lasted for long time. Even if it was in a strange position it felt magical. Then she slowly pulled way. "How about that for a thank you?" she said giggling a bit. Mysterion was staring at her surprised at her bold move and blushing a little. Mysterion cleared his throat.

"That's good enough for me" He said. "You want me to carry you home? You must have lots of bruises on you." He suggested with concern for her. Catherine looked and sure enough his guess was right, there was bruises and red marks on her arms and knees.

"Well sure I guess." said Catherine. Mysterion jumped down from the rope and picked Catherine up, Catherine blushed a bit as he picked her up.

So he carried her the whole way home and now they were at her door. "Oh, man. How am I gonna explain the way I look to my mom?" She asked him.

"It's probably best and easier that you just tell her what happened." Mysterion told her.

"Well thanks again, Mysterion. I hope I'll get to see you again." Catherine said to him softly.

"Only if you're in danger you will see me again. From now on just...just be careful... for me." After he said that to her he ran off.

"Wait!!" but he didn't turn back. Catherine then thought about his last words. (where have I heard it being said like that to me before) Then she walked back in her house.
